Welcome to APG Sales & Distribution
Fall 2009 marks the twentieth year APG has served the
publishing industry and we are proud to announce that on this
twentieth year we continue to be selected by a number of fine
publishers as their exclusive book distributor. Additionally,
we have made some very positive changes to our staff.
Added to our distinguished list of fine publisher's for
this fall will be CSS Industries Inc. including it's Paper
Magic "Learning Playground" and "Eureka" imprints. We
have also added Frederick Fell Publishers with over 100
excellent titles and 66 years of publishing experience and
Manor House Publishing from Toronto Canada. We will
also be handling the warehousing and title fulfillment
requirements in the US for Fitzhenry & Whiteside Ltd.,
a very successful publisher in Canada. The additional
offerings from these publishers will greatly enhance our
title selection and our value to you, our customer.
In addition to the new publishers APG is proud to
announce that Cary Johnson has rejoined the ranks
of APG as Director of Merchandising & Sales.
Cary will be working with our publishers and sales
representatives to make sure APG is providing you,
our customer, with the right titles at the right price with
the best terms possible. In addition to Cary, Steven
Wallace, a seasoned industry professional in Mass
Market and Special Market Sales has joined
APG. Steve will be focused on maximizing
opportunities for publishers with titles that fit these
markets. We are very proud of the new additions and
changes at APG and more will be forth coming as APG
moves forward with its expansion plans going into 2010.
As you know, our industry is changing rapidly and
while consolidation of publishing companies and
the expansion of the retail super store concept has been
the norm in the industry in recent years, we at APG are
forecasting a swing in the market - a swing back to a
larger group of viable independent speciality book
retailers and a renewed opportunity for smaller book
distributors - distributors that can properly represent a
title list effectively. APG is positioning itself to address
this opportunity and to serve you, our customers, better.
